I was told by the doctor i have a bladder infection he gave me an antibiotic and i was told to take it for 5 days i got my period ;and its still there?

Then call the doc: Your doc should have sent the urine for c&s to the lab to make sure the bacteria was not resisitant to the antibiotic the doc gave u, and to make sure u do not have something else going on.

Go back to doctor: Utis are often treated empirically in women. You may have been given an antibiotic to which the bacteria causing your infection is resistant. A repeat urinalysis and culture and sensitivity may resolve this, or if there is something else going on, uncover it.
