Back to the doctor: A persistent post nasal drip may represent allergies that can coexist with a cold. It is also possible that you have an infection in your tonsils that still needs treatment. The post-nasal drip may be relieved by a nasal decongestant. The white spots on your tonsils indicate that you need to see your doctor

Respiratory Virus: Viruses can cause the symptoms you are describing for 10-14 days in some cases. Hang in there. It sounds like you are almost through. Try ibuprofen and acetaminophen for fever control and decongestants and nasal saline rinses for stuffy nose post nasal drip part.

If >10 days: If your symptoms fail to improve or get worse in another 3-4 days, see your doctor to check for sinusitis which is not usually associated with a fever. About 10% of the colds is complicated by a bacterial sinus infection.
