COPD: Need to know more. Trust you have stopped smoking. If you are sick and having more trouble breathing go to ER.

Copd: Not every upper respiratory infection is bacterial. Actually most are viral meaning that the z pack is ineffective. With COPD and asthma, when one has an exacerbation, be it from an illness or allergy or whatever, an action plan with inhalers and medication is important. Talk to your doctor about an action plan. If short of breath or worsening cough or chest pain ER can be used but see a doc.
