A member asked:

Can someone confirm that twitches in the tongue is normal and not a sign of als? myokymia? have clesn emg of tongue.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can be many reasons: Tongue twitching can have benign (excess caffeine, lack of sleep, anxiety, fatigue, stress, overwork) or severe (ALS, demyelination, tumor) causes. Given your age and a "clean" EMG of the tongue, it is less likely due to a serious cause. However, you should follow-up with a neurologist to review all your study results.
