Every medication: has side effects, especially antibiotics. If your doctor prescribed it, he/she believed its potential benefits outweighed its risks. I suggest you follow your doctor's advice.

It is: A safe drug. All medications have side effects. Talk to your doctor about your concerns. Maybe able to reassure you. I use this medication in appropriate patients and will continue to do so

UTI symptoms. Went to clinic. Dip stick showed more than few RBC's, some white cells and protein in urine. Macrobid. Scared of possible side effects!
Macrobid was called in for a suspected UTI due to burning. After taking two doses, I was able to leave a urine sample at my doctors office which came back normal. Should I continue the Macrobid until the full culture comes back or discontinue?
