Was on macrobid for uti- dr just called and said i now need to take cipro once culture came back. Why?
I have uti sympts for 6 wks now. I have taken doxy and macrobid. Neither helped. When I peed on dipstick it showed pos WBC neg nitirites ?
Macrobid was called in for a suspected UTI due to burning. After taking two doses, I was able to leave a urine sample at my doctors office which came back normal. Should I continue the Macrobid until the full culture comes back or discontinue?
I just finished 7 days of cipro for a severe UTI. Was better 2 days after now having burning sensation in left flank and stomach area as well as when urinating. Doctor prescribed macrobid which I've used and doesn't seem to help. Found traces of blood in
Dipstick and little machine said no UTI but doc ordered 100mg Macrobid 2 daily 10 days. Culture sent out. OK to wait til culture returns to take med?
