Low risk: We do not have enough data on the electronic cigarettes to provide risk data. It takes years for the effects of regular cigarette use to trigger the events leading to cancer. It appears the electronic variety has less risk because it does not contain many of the non-nicotine toxic materials in regular cigarettes. Stay off and avoid future exposure. Auto related death is your highest risk now.

Great-You stopped: It is good for your health that you quit. The risk of cancer from the low tobacco exposure that you have experienced is impossible to quantitate. Any cancer related to your very limited smoking would occur many years to decades from now. Assuming that you stay free of tobacco, your limited tobacco exposure should not be something that you worry about.

Glad you're afraid: You won't give yourself cancer from E-cigs but they're addicting. Although your risk of getting cancer from this particular adventure is zero, I wish every teen shared your fear of cancer and didn't take up real smoking. The risk is cumulative. Best wishes. Stay fit.
