Unclear question: It is not likely that you have cancer of the larynx. Hoarseness may be due to many causes, including nerve damage, laryngeal nodule or HPV infection. It would be prudent to consult an ENT specialist.

Survival, but.....: Used to be, the short answer was simply survival risk with stage 1 having the best prognosis and stage IV the worst. While stages 1/2 still have the highest survival rates but improved surgical techniques and chemotherapy and i'd add lifestyle changes, have leveled the playing field greatly. Colon cancer, even advanced is often quite treatable.

Part of the team: Brain tumors are either benign or malignant and are either primary or due to tumors elsewhere in the body. Any patient with brain tumor needs a team support. There may be a surgeon, cancer specialist, neurologist, radiation specialist, chemotherapy team, rehab therapists, psychological support, etc. You can help by being part of the team. It's only for some: Provenge (sipuleucel-t) is used in a very specific clinical situation with prostate cancer--definitely not indicated for everyone. The best treatment depends on the stage and grade of the cancer.
