A member asked:

Can electronic cigarettes/nicotine cause cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: These are ways to supply the needed dose of nicotine to satisfy your addictive needs. They are designed not to allow tars and irritants into your throat. Thus the incidence of cancer should be no greater than in non-smokers. They are an effective way to attempt to stop smoking altogether and i encourage this in my patients.
