Restoration: Replacing the missing tooth with an implant retained crown or other restoration may partially or completely restore the collapse caused by you missing tooth. However, your own dentist can examine you, discuss replacement options and what to expect. Make an appointment for a consultation.

Yes: Sorry about the tooth loss but an implant will help the problem

It should: Any prosthesis that will replace the form and function of the missing tooth should help in your appearance.

Hopefully: Sometimes when a tooth is removed the adjacent and opposite teeth shift. In the extraction site bone has probably dissolved away because of not having a tooth to support. You need to discuss this with your Dentist. Reconstruction and/or Orthodontic treatment + reconstruction may be advisable.

Possible: When the space is filled with the implant crown the cheek will supported. Will this be enough ?? Can't say without examination and trial placement of a tooth. Ask your Dentist to check for you. Good Luck.

See your dentist: In order to better ascertain the situation, I would make an appointment with your dentist. You do not mention if this was the only tooth missing in the area, which may account for the sunken feeling. In addition, you do not mention whether you had a bone graft placed when you had the tooth extracted, which can be a precursor to an implant.

Need more info: The loss of a single tooth in the upper jaw usually does not produce significant changes in the appearance of the face, unless, that tooth was the only tooth remaining in that part of the jaw, or a tooth that was supporting a fixed bridge or partial denture that resulted in not being able to use the partial denture or loss of the bridge. Your dentist can advise you of options.
