Wouldn't accept it: The test is standardized to represent the reaction to material places between layers of your dermis (skin) and would become invalid if it went too deep and bled. It deserves repeating.I would worry that it could be falsely negative if the test material dissipated into deep tissue.That could lead to a delay in proper treatment. A false positive would be unlikely& need eval

Yes: There is a blood test Quantiferon Gold for tuberculosis now. I wouldn't get another PPD skin test right after having one, especially not before two weeks to avoid boosting. http://www.cdc.gov/tb/publications/factsheets/testing/skintesting.htm

Test may be flawed: The bleeding and bruising with a PPD implantation can sometimes cause a misinterpretation of results. It might be best to have a repeat PPD done on the opposite arm in 2 weeks. Take care.
