I was recently in the hospital, and i suddenly have three large reddish purplish bruises, almost in a line on my lower arm, w/1-2 in. of normal skin in between. the bruises wrap around my arm. is this normal? they seem to be spreading in size?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you did not have any trauma that could have resulted in the bruise, it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!
