Yes: If they are straining your muscles or ligaments in PT, the pain may get worse. Discuss this with physical therapist and they can adjust your treatment.

Yes: Please don't overdo it. Pain is a safety signal to rest. Please let your physical therapist and doctor know so that they can help. Sounds like you need to do less or less strenuously for now until the pain gets better.

No pain No gain: Physical therapists are asked to show you the way to full recovery of the injured part of your body. Part of this recovery consists of exercises which do "push" you to regaining that function. (Usually two parts of recovery .range of motion and strength.) Keep up the good "work" remember "no pain".."no gain"
