Inactive myelination: Thank you for your interesting question. So MS was excluded, but there are 30 inactive myelinations? Perhaps these were caused by smoking, an injury, or? The symptom you mentioned- numbness and burning on top of the head- is not one that suggests MS either. If you are otherwise feeling well, treat symtomatically (try ice?) If it continues to bother you, it may be time for another check up.

Analysis: Your symptoms are not due to MS, and may be secondary to a local neuralgia, such as Greater Occipital Neuralgia. Another consideration could be a migraine equivalent or even a local scalp/skin problem. In older pts, might think of post-herpetic neuralgia, but unlikely to be answer for you. Perhaps a dermatologist could help.
