Back in august, my husband blacked out and fell injuring his head & neck. a month later he has developed l'hermitte's sign which is causing excruciating electrical shocking and numbness in hands. will this ever go away since it's not due to ms?

Your husband needs to see his doctor and get a cervical MRI. These symptoms are worrisome for an injury to the spinal cord in the neck. With proper treatment, the symptoms CAN improve. That improvement is not guaranteed.
