No: Calcium triphosphate and, preferably, hydroxyapatite are much better absorbed and bioavailable.

Equal pill for pill: Calcium citrate contains 211 mg of elemental calcium in a 1000 mg tablet. Gummy caltrate has about 250 mg of elemental calcium. So pill for pill, they are equivalent.
