Maybe: Injury to the fingernail bed frequently causes the fingernail to fall off. It takes a long time for fingernail to grow back. Signs of infection would be redness drainage swelling discoloration or thickening of the nail.. If there are no signs of infection the trauma to fingernail is the most likely cause . If you are signs of infection is it possible that someone can infection from pool water.
