3-4days, 300mg: Fever in anyone over 3months old, if previously healthy, can be watched for up to 3-4days if no other worrisome symptoms. Most viral fevers will improve within that time. If not, medical exam should be done and probably some testing. Ibuprofen dose is 10mg for every kg of weight, up to 80kg. So 300mg in this case.
