Yes, you can do that and we often use this regimen for controlling mild pain. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) 650 -1,000 mg alternating with Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) OTC 200 mg x 2 or 3 tablets every 6 hours as needed.
