My 3 year old has been having a fever of 102-103 the last 24 hrs. ibuprofen helps for a few hours. he's been shivering and also had a headache. advice?

Treat the fever. : Use tylenol (acetaminophen) every 4 hrs by weight. Give tepid baths. If this is a viral syndrome, then it wil resolve within the next12-24 hrs. If new symptoms begin or the current ones do not improve, see your doctor.
