Yes: Blood in bowel movement is always of concern and should be investigated by a physician. He will want to know how long this has occurred, if there is belly pain, fever, weight loss. Your age and whether you are on NSAID's (aspirin, motrin, etc) also give clues. You will likely have blood testing (CBC, INR, PTT) and quite possibly have endoscopy (long camera into the intestine) to visually inspect.

See a doctor: Blood in a bowel movement is always abnormal. Since you are asking the question I will assume it is not typical for you to see fresh blood in your stool. Please see your doctor for further evaluation.
