No: The blood test for HSV2 only shows whether you have been EXPOSED to HSV2 virus. This is extremely common. It does not mean you have been INFECTED. There is no reliable test if you have never had a concerning rash. A rash could be tested directly with PCR or Viral culture to look for HSV2. That is the only way to confirm HSV2 infection. Right now you had an exposure, nothing more.

Herpes: Herpes blood tests can be misleading. 90% of people with antibodies to HSV2 have been exposed to genital herpes and 10% to oro-labial (mouth) herpes. The opposite is true of HSV1 - 90% have exposure to oro-labial and 10% to genital. It's possible to be exposed and have never had an outbreak. Maybe you never will. If you develop painful burning lesions around genitals or mouth it could be herpes.

You had an infection: Herpesviruses 1 and 2 affect primarily the oral and genital areas respectively. You probably had a genital infection that was mild or misdiagnosed.
