High probability: Even smoking a few cigarettes daily may adversely affect your results. It may cause irreversible damage to your lungs. Carbon monoxide in tobacco smoke has a higher affinity to hemoglobin (an oxygen carrying molecule in the blood) than does oxygen. Smoking causes the replacement of oxygen with carbon monoxide which continues even when you are not smoking. There are many other harmful effects.

Smoking is bad: Smoking is bad. In addition to negative effects on your lungs it also damages your blood vessels and increases the risk of heart attack and stroke. Blood carries nutrients to your growing muscles. Since you want healthy blood vessels to bring blood to your muscles I would completely stop smoking.
