For how long after first taking risperdal individuals with psychosis are good?

Depends: It may take a few weeks or many months until you are better. It depends what dose you are taking and whether it is an effective dose or not. Hopefully your hallucinations or paranoid ideations will be noticeably less. You should have frequent follow up with your psychiatrist to check blood work and assess your symptoms.
