Can be deceiving.: If several scales say you are 201 pounds they are likely correct. Acromegaly can produce A lot of weight without fat although this would be unlikely.

Compare scales: First of all, scales can be wrong. So borrow a set and compare, or try the scales at a gym. Weigh the same way each time, in the same clothes (or without). Next, your doctor's scales could also need adjustment. Finally, if you're fit and muscular, you may be that weight but simply look very lean and healthy. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat. And BMI sometimes doesn't account for that!

Faulty guidelines?: 5'11" @ 201 might be just fine. BMI is misleading for well-muscle men and is not a good indicator of health as it relates to your weight. Body builders are all "over-weight" if you only follow BMI. Muscle weighs more than fat for the same volume of mass. If your percent body fat is low, 201 is fine. http://www.livescience.com/39097-bmi-not-accurate-health-measure.html
