Yes: MRI is quite specific for brain lesions. Often contrast given with the MRI can also give many answers. Best pf luck!

Likely: MRI is the study of choice for evaluating the soft tissues of the brain. Sometimes IV contrast is used to also evaluate the blood vessels of the brain.
