Can being treated with carafate and nexium (esomeprazole) suppress h. pylori but not eradicate it and then cause symptoms to resurge once said treatment ceases?

H Pylori: Hi, Neither Carafate nor Nexium (esomeprazole) eradicates H Pylori, Carafate coats the lining of the stomach therefore protect it from acid, Nexium (esomeprazole) decreases the secretion of acid therefore decreases the damage from acid. The only way to eradicate H. Pylori is Antibiotics treatment.
