A member asked:

When talking on phone & watching tv (one person talking, quiet background) i hear a clicking-not all the time. what causes this

Not sure: Not sure, but the TM joint meniscus frequently displaces and moves in and out of position. The position of the meniscus is right in front of the external ear. When one talks the meniscus should be moving but not displacing. Displacement can make a clicking or popping sound.
