Acute & chronic: AML is acute leukemia- treated with combination chemotherapies and plus minus bm transplant. It is a very serious & has to be treated right away.Cml is chronic leukemia. There are 3 phase in cml- chronic , accelerated and blastic phase ( acute leukemia). CML is treated with tageted therapy-oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor. In cml, the response & the rate of remission is very high w/ this therapy.
