AML: It is a very serious and life threatening disease. It is a progressive cancer that starts with the malignant transformation of an immature cell in the bone marrow. There are different types of aml. Prognosis depends of the type, biology/cytogenetics, age etc. Treatment in majority cases will include combination of chemo plus minus bone marrow transplant.
