Possible: It depends on the extent of the fracture and damage to surrounding tissue and structures within the foot as to how much and for how long you may have residual pain and swelling. Joint stiffness in areas of prior fracture may occur when it's cold and damp. If swelling persists beyond a period of months you may benefit from some lymphedema or effleurage therapy to help with mobilize the fluid.
