Safe, but talk to Dr: Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat GERD/heartburn. If you have regular issues with heartburn it is a medication you can take once a day for at least 4 weeks to improve your symptoms. It is not for acute heartburn. It is a prescription medicine here in the US, so I advise you speak to your doctor before taking it.

30 days or less: Pramocob 16, Pantoprazole is safe to use for 1 month without seeing your doctor, if you smoke or chew tobacco at all, even socially, or drink more than 1-2 drinks of alcohol a day, or both, especially, your risk of serious problems goes up a lot. In addition blood in poop or vomit and weight loss more than 10 pounds in 6 months is more serious. Take it 1 hour before or 2 hrs after eating
