I understand that i should always consult with my doctor first, however i am totally against prescription drugs and hes not so i am trying to figure out the best way to reduce my dosage of coreg from two to one a day in a safe manner.

It has to do with the dialogue and being able to reconcile difficulties. Talk to your prescriber if switching to the extended release 24 h Coreg would be an option and talk openly about your worries. Make sure you understand as well why your doc believes you need to take it.

You are not likely to find any doctor that would side with you against your doctor. Your doctor titrated your medication to what you should be taking and we do not have enough information to tell you otherwise. You did not say why you are on Coreg but I would say that low salt,cholesterol and stress with meditation, sleeping well and healthy nutrition should help.
