Enlarged lymph node: This sounds like it might be an enlarged lymph node. If is just started, don't worry right off. A lymph node will enlarge in reaction to irritation or infection. If your scalp has been itchy, scratching it may have stimulated it. You may be sensitive to a new hair product, Stop it. If you have pain in it, fever, no better in a week, see your doc. Don't keep touching the lump or it won't go away.
