A probiotic: Enterogermina capsules contain a harmless bacteria called Bacillus clausii. It is a probiotic and is commonly given when an antibiotic is being used to treat an infection. Antibiotics can kill the normal bacteria in the colon and cause diarrhea. Probiotics are used to replenish healthy bacteria to the colon with the goal of preventing antibiotic associated diarrhea.
