Typically Younger: Cervical cancer is more common in younger women, twenties to forties. It can take years to develop, so is easily caught early with a Pap smear. Risk factors are multiple partners, HPV infection, smoking. Get your Pap smear every 3 years, but if you are negative, every 5 yrs is OK. Use condoms, and don't smoke. Gardasil vaccine at your health department/doctor office can prevent HPV infection.
