Much less common: PAP smears and now ThinPrep type cervical cancer screenings have decreased the incidence of cervical cancer significantly. If you get your pelvic exam and the appropriate intervals then you should never develop this cancer! Additionally, there is the HPV vaccine which is thought to prevent this type of cervical cancer.

About 4,120 women will die from cervical cancer. 25-29yr is the Peak rate of cervical cancer cases, 2012-2014 in UK. It is preventable by taking a HPV vaccine in you're age --> 16-20 years. Is funded by the government in NZ.
