I get chest pains lately when my anxiety is bad and was wondering if there is a relation between costochondritis and anxiety?

Unlikely: Costochondritis & anxiety are not related. Costochondritis is inflammation of the cartilage between the ribs & sternum. You may be anxious due to the pain caused by costochondritis thinking it may be a heart attack. Anxiety in of itself can also cause symptoms of chest pain. Consider seeing a doctor for both conditions. NSAIDs may be used for costochondritis. Counseling & meds for anxiety
