Ask the CT scan: But before that, ask your doctor if you really need that CT scan right now. That's a fair amount of ionizing radiation being scattered near your thyroid gland! How long have you had the lump?What does it feel like?Painful? Is it growing? Any lumps elsewhere? Your chest X-ray OK?Have they first tried an ultrasound test? All that aside, let's assume your doctor really wants the CT...ask him anyways

Get the ct : I think the question will be partly answer with the CT scan results you are getting tomorrow . Did you ask your doctor what he/she thinks it is? Someone must have ordered the CT scan . It could be an abscess, cyst, gland inflammation , just a swollen lymph node , undifferentiated soft tissue mass and the list goes on .
