Need more info: This can only be answered by your gynecologist who knows you best. Not all fibroids have to be removed but they can cause bleeding and pain and may then need to be removed.

Not necessarily: Regardless of size, having fibroids without any symptoms does not warrant treatment unless it is a fertility situation (i.e. fibroids preventing pregnancy or causing miscarriages). The most common symptoms that fibroids can cause are heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure/pain, and increased urinary frequency.
