See MD if still sore: When a person is taking antibiotics, it is not unusual to get a yeast infection in the mouth that can leave the tongue raw and sore, so if the pain is not doing away by smoothing the sharp tooth, please consult with your doctor for further evaluation.

Tongue sore: It often takes more than 5 days for these types of sores to go away. Rinse with warm salt water and try to to "play" with the area as much as possible. If it continues go back to the dentist for another look.
