MRSA: Congratulations. You are doing very well. The one other thing I would do is insert antibiotic ointment in both nostrils 2-3 times daily to stop the spread of infection

Consider, also: Check with your doctor if your daughter also needs an antibiotic for her nose as sometimes MRSA can be carried in the nasal tissue. Also, taking a probiotic to help to maintain her good protective bacteria in her gut (especially while taking a major antibiotic like clindamycin) should be considered.

MRSA: You are doing all you can. Why the bleach baths? Would be worried about skin irritation with that. The Hibiclens should be more than enough to decontaminate her skin and keep the bacterial load down. Keep close communication with her treating medical provider. So sorry about her condition. I hope she improves quickly. Hope this helps. Best of luck. Dr R

Watch for abscesses: You are doing all of the right things. Watch for abscess formation; these often need to be drained for cure. Small abscesses may drain on their own if you use warm compresses. An abscess would be warm, red, tender, and swollen. Follow up with your doctor to be sure that any cultures are sensitive to clindamycin. Also look for persistent fevers or signs of dehydration/decreased urine output.
