A member asked:

Is clindamycin oral 600mg/6h catabolic? i don't want to lose muscle. what can i do to avoid this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No will not weaken u: Clindamycin is a lincomycin antibiotic, & it binds to a part of the bacterial cell, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. This should not have any noticeable effect on human cells. I checked the package insert from the drug maker (Pfizer) and found no evidence of an effect. Some acne medicines mixed with clinda have steroids in them -and those can be catabolic. I'm not sure where you got ur info
