Tough on diabetics: Hi. Good for you. I'm very proud of you, and you make people realize we diabetics can be accomplished athletes. Do you use a continuous glucose monitor (CGM)? If you were my patient, I would INSIST on it with endurance sports of such extremity. But as long as you're safe and monitoring your sugar and getting adequate fluids, electrolytes, and nutrients (glucose, etc), I think you're GREAT!
