Diet and exercise: It's great you're being proactive about your health, especially with your family history of diabetes. If you have access to a nutritionist through your insurance, i highly recommend to have a consultation. As for exercise, 30 minutes of cardio/aerobic (running, brisk walk, swimming, elliptical) at least 5 days a week is a good goal to shoot for. www.diabetes.org also has great info.
