This risk is rare : but can occur especially if risk factors present: older age, hx high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes , smoker as some.

PT: Is ordered by a physician who knows whether there is any risk of stroke due to compression of the vertebral artery. A competent physical therapist should know how to provide relief without damaging the artery.
