Cure hypothyroidism: Depends what you mean by "cure". It is likely that she will always need to take levothyroxine. However, as long as she is taking it, she will feel normal and be "cured". If 75 mcg is the right dose (i.e. normal TSH), then dose adjustments will be infrequent. Of all the medical problems you can have, one that requires a daily inexpensive pill and yearly monitoring is not all that bad.

Unfortunately, no.: Unfortunately secondary acquired hypothyroidism has various causes. Thyroid hormone replacement while monitoring for TSH, free T3, (liothyronine) free T4, or additional diagnostic tests depending on the tests and conditioning is the standard treatment modality at this time. Overtime, as her endogenous thyroid hormone production decreases, or condition changes, her Levothyroxine dose will need to be adjusted.
