My ent wants me to take dexilant (dexlansoprazole) twice a day for 4 weeks. (am/pm). is this a good idea or not? when is the best time to take dexilant (dexlansoprazole)?

30 min before food: Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) is very good medication to reduce acid. Taking it 30 minutes before a meal maximizes its effectiveness. I would suggest before breakfast and dinner.

Why isn't dexlansoprozole available yet? I noticed it was approved by the FDA back in 2017, but was prescribed dexilant , which is extremely expensive. any ideas why it has not been available to pharmacy yet? thanks
