See your clinician: Dexilant dexlansoprazole is recommended to used for 4 weeks for GERD heartburn, and 8 weeks for erosive esophagitis (and 1/3 of GERD patients have erosive esophagitis). You should continue your treatment as prescribed. If your symptoms are not getting better despite therapy, then you need to be reevaluated. Hope that helps.
