Brand is available: The way the system works is the drug company modifies a drug or comes up with a new one, They have a specified number of years to sell it under the brand name while no generic knock offs can be sold. That assures they recoup development/testing costs before the copy cats come along. Look up the word "patent" to understand the issue. I don't think it has much benefit over existing PPI's.
